Sindana Ilango

Sindana is currently an Epidemiology PhD student in the SDSU-UCSD Joint Doctoral Program. Her research interests include the adverse effects of air pollution and extreme weather events on neurocognitive outcomes among older adults. Prior to the doctoral program, she was a Cal-EIS fellow with the California Department of Public Health with the Chronic Disease Control Branch. She completed her MPH in Epidemiology at UC Los Angeles and her BA in Integrative Biology at UC Berkeley. In her free time she enjoys cooking and spending time outside.
